Despite the pandemic, Disney is not losing hope of being able to release its next nuggets to the cinema. On November 6, 2020, the production released the film releases planned for the next eight years.

The Disney production has been very generous at this complicated end of the year. The big-eared firm has indeed published its film release schedule and it extends until 2028. Just that! As much to tell you that the list is long and there are many feature films that we can not wait to discover. Despite the health crisis and film releases that keep getting shifted, Disney is therefore trying to stay the course. And some announced film releases warm our hearts, even if part of the schedule could well be changed, given the context of the pandemic. Here is the list of those who still make us tremble with impatience.
"Black Widow"
We finally have a release date, hopefully final, for Black widow. The film with Scarlett Johanson was due out in 2020 and we will finally see the super heroine in the heart of her own film on May 7, 2021. We can't wait!
"Cruella"
The first and only photograph of Cruella, the live action on the wicked 101 Dalmatians, had made our mouths water. Emma Stone will reveal herself in the skin of this evil character from May 28, 2021 at the cinema.
"West Side Story"
We wait for him around the corner … West Side Story, released in 1961, is an iconic film and Steven Spielberg challenged himself to make a remake of it. It was to be discovered in theaters at the end of 2020. Finally, the musical will be released on December 10, 2021.
"Captain Marvel 2"
Brie Larson wowed us as Captain Marvel in 2019. Since then, we've seen him alongside the Avengers. But we expected one thing, it was to see it in a second part. The super heroine will be back on July 8, 2022. Sounds a long way off, we grant you.
"Avatar 2"
Avatar 2 has been expected for years now. The first part, which had met a crazy success at the box office, was released in 2009. It was therefore 11 years ago. James Cameron is still a little wanting and will unveil this new film in the franchise on July 16, 2022. Regarding the other three, we will have to be even more patient … The third part will be released on December 20, 2024, the fourth will be in theaters on December 18, 2026 and the final installment will meet its audience on December 22, 2028.
You will notice that besides Cruella, we have no information on the live action that had been announced to us. In the complete list, we can see "Untitled Disney Live Action"… The mystery therefore remains unresolved and we expect this calendar to be updated as it goes. We hope, for example, to have something new on the live action of The little Mermaid with Halle Bailey. To be continued! In the meantime, this list makes our mouths water!
