Disneyland Paris: Parks to reopen

Good news ! The Disneyland Paris parks in Marne-La-Vallée will gradually reopen. And there will be some health rules to follow.

Will tourism gradually resume? In any case, it is off to a good start. Disneyland Paris will reopen on July 15, 2020. It is the number one tourist destination in Europe. After four months of closure due to the coronavirus crisis, we will therefore have to expect a recovery but while respecting health rules. The announcement was made via a press release sent to the AFP and a tweet on the Disneyland Paris profile. The two theme parks – Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park – will reopen from "progressive manner" " with "with limited capacity. "

"Health and safety measures have been reinforced"

For that, the restrictions are made as of the reservations of the tickets which will have to be done only online. In addition, within the site, employees but also visitors must wear a mask. Certain Disneyland Paris shows and events will not be available from July 15 onwards in order to respect social distancing. Disneyland tells AFP that they "may be modified upon reopening depending on the development of safety and health measures and recommendations of the public authorities."

Among these events absent at the reopening of the park, there is the famous parade which highlights all the characters of the Disney studios. This will also affect the Disney Illuminations night show: "The Lion King and the rhythms of the Earth" and "The Rhythm of the Jungle" will come back later this summer.

The mascots will indeed be present on the site but temporarily suspended. So it's going to be complicated to consider meeting Mickey and cuddling him. We can, in any case, always hope to meet him in the parks "to amuse spectators in a new way" according to Disneyland Paris.

Regarding the accommodation that the parks offer, not all hotels will be open. The group explains to AFP: “The Disney’s Newport Bay Club will reopen on July 15 and more will follow over the summer. But two of them, the Sequoia Lodge and the Davy Crockett Ranch, will reopen on a date to be announced later.
