The influx of new groups of refugees from the east does not stop. On Wednesday alone, 70 immigrants were picked up and had to be registered. The processing of the rapidly increasing number of migration cases brings the authorities and civil servants almost to the limits of their resilience.
As reported, the police had long since reacted to the influx of refugees. The presence along the border has been increased.
Neusiedl and Oberwart
The main focus is on the most affected districts of Neusiedl am See and Oberpullendorf. In order to be able to fight the smuggling crime in a targeted manner, investigation groups are in action.
Dozens of new migrants every day
Yet dozens of new migrants cross the border every day. There were 70 seizures on Wednesday alone. The next day it continued to a similar extent. Apart from Parndorf, the armed forces and police were in the communities of Nikitsch, Unterloisdorf, Draßburg and Luising, among others. Another ten migrants were discovered in Deutschkreutz.
“The refugee situation is getting worse and worse. It is all the more important that the police have increased their presence at the border, ”emphasizes Mayor Manfred Kölly.
