IBM no longer wants to show its ads on X.com
The American giant found this situation unbearable and immediately decided to suspend the broadcast of advertisements on X.com. Indeed, on the platform, an algorithm inserts advertisements in the news feed, but also in discussions between users, and this, obviously, regardless of the subject.
In a press release, the American company IBM said: “ IBM has no tolerance for hate speech and discrimination, and has immediately suspended all advertising on X while we investigate this completely unacceptable situation. »
Apple and Oracle also affected
Even though Elon Musk recently caused yet another controversy by supporting a conspiracy publication and castigating the Anti-Defamation League organization, toxic and misleading comments continue to multiply on his platform.
Also, many brands have seen their advertisements displayed in highly criticized publications. This is the case of the IBM group, but also of Apple, Oracle, and ComCast. Recently, we learned that the X.com algorithm favored toxic content, even though the platform’s moderation team was very limited.
Since Elon Musk took orders, many companies have decided to reduce their activities, or even flee the X.com network. This is the case of Air France in particular, but also of Apple and Slack, which have all decided to no longer provide any customer service on the network.
