DJI Osmo Pocket 3: it’s in your pocket

Aimed at bloggers and vloggers, DJI is launching the third iteration of its small gimbal camera with features that follow the developments observed in the latest products launched by the Chinese firm. Compact and flexible, the Osmo Pocket 3 is equipped with three-axis mechanical stabilization ensuring stable images, even during dynamic camera movements. The new capable 1-inch CMOS sensor is capable of shooting up to 4K/120 fps. Experts will be able to record videos with 10-bit D-Log M and 10-bit HLG color profiles. Equipped with efficient automation, the Osmo Pocket 3 will be able to adjust the exposure according to different skin tones.

The big novelty and which is the strength of the Osmo Pocket 3 lies in the adoption of a small 2-inch rotating touch screen offering both control of the shooting and access to all the settings of the camera. The Osmo Pocket 3 offers a multitude of intelligent functions that we have already had the opportunity to experience on the recent Action 4. ActiveTrack 6.0 tracking offers several tracking modes, including a mode with automatic facial detection and dynamic framing. The camera relies on an array of three built-in microphones to reduce wind noise and capture omnidirectional stereo audio, for more immersive sound. Compatible with the DJI Mic 2, the Osmo Pocket 3 allows you to record two people for vlogs, interviews and live broadcasts.

The Osmo Pocket 3 has a rather durable built-in 1,300 mA h battery and it can record up to 116 minutes of footage in 4K/60 fps or up to 166 minutes of footage in 1080 p/24 fps with a full charge. It can be recharged to 80% in 16 minutes and to 100% in 32 minutes.

Available for sale today on the DJI store and at authorized resellers, the Osmo Pocket 3 retails for €539 and includes the Osmo Pocket 3, a USB-C to USB-C PD cable, an Osmo Pocket 3 protective cover, a DJI wrist strap and an Osmo Pocket 3 handle with a 1/4″ thread. The Osmo Pocket 3 Creator bundle is sold at a price of €679 and includes the Osmo Pocket 3, a PD cable USB-C to USB-C, Osmo Pocket 3 protective cover, DJI wrist strap, Osmo Pocket 3 handle with 1/4″ thread, DJI Mic 2 transmitter Shadow Blacka DJI Mic 2 windscreen, a DJI Mic 2 magnetic clip, an Osmo Pocket 3 battery grip, an Osmo mini-tripod and a carrying bag for the camera.
