While DMX continues to fight for his life after his breakdown, his family begs to pray for the rapper.
For the first time after its collapse last Friday, the family of the US rapper DMX (50, “We Right Here”) spoke out in a statement. In it, she asks to pray for the 50-year-old.
“On Friday evening, April 2, 2021, our brother, son, father and colleague DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was admitted to White Plains Hospital in New York. Serious health problems were found there,” it said Explanation from which, among other things the US site “Entertainment Tonight” quotes. The family asks fans of the musician to “include Earl / DMX and us in your thoughts, wishes and prayers”.
Condition still critical
As the US celebrity portal “TMZ” reported, the artist collapsed in his house on Saturday night. According to Insider, DMX allegedly suffered a heart attack from a drug overdose. A spokesman later confirmed to the portal that the rapper was in “critical condition”. However, the report of a possible overdose was not commented on.
In the past, DMX had struggled with substance abuse on a number of occasions. But he had tried to get off drugs with several rehabilitation stays. Most recently, he should have voluntarily gone to a rehab clinic in 2019.
