The US rapper DMX is dead. As his family confirms, Earl Simmons, his real name, died at the age of 50.
The legendary US rapper DMX (1970-2021) has died. That emerges from a statement from his family, which among other things the entertainment portal “ETOnline” is present. It says that Earl Simmons, the real name of the rapper, died at the age of 50 in White Plains Hospital in New York. His family was by his side until the end.
“Earl was a warrior”
DMX was therefore connected to life-support devices a few days ago. “Earl was a warrior who fought to the end,” explain his family. “He loved his family with all his heart and we appreciate the time we were able to spend with him.” The rapper’s music, including genre classics such as “Where The Hood At”, has “inspired countless fans around the world and his iconic legacy will live on forever”.
The family wanted to announce information about DMX’s funeral at a later date. After a breakdown, the rapper was hospitalized a few days ago. An unnamed insider had declared the US celebrity portal “TMZ”that DMX allegedly suffered a heart attack from a drug overdose. However, this has not been officially confirmed. A family statement later mentioned “serious health problems”.
