The reason for this product recall? The presence of traces of mycotoxins (ochratoxin A), toxic compounds produced naturally by certain types of mold (fungi). “Mycotoxins are substances produced by fungi which sometimes develop on plant products and cause a health risk in the event of large and repeated consumption”, warns the manufacturer on the government website dedicated to product recalls. On his site, the government therefore calls for people not to consume this coffee and to return the product to the point of sale or to contact consumer service.
The lot in question was marketed between August 25, 2023 and October 18, 2023 in E.Leclerc brands, and can therefore already be found in your food cupboards.
