A new major recall has just been announced by the government on its official website. It concerns chopped steaks of the Charal brand that should not be consumed because they present a major risk of contamination.
After shining the spotlight on salads from the Auchan brand and mozzarella from Carrefour France, the government site Drink reminder once again alerts consumers this summer and invites them not to consume Charal brand products. More specifically, these are burgers which in turn are subject to product recall because they are supposed to contain bacteria Toxigenic Escherichia coli shiga, more commonly known as E. Coli.
The affected products have been sold between August 2 and 14 in the main retail chains including Auchan, Carrefour, Casino, Franprix, Leader Price, Intermarché, Leclerc, Monoprix, Simply Market and Système U, as well as Segurel, Frais Distribution Antona, Diapar, Francap and Match. It is 5% fat minced steaks offered in weekly packs, individually, by two or six.

All of these products must be removed from the shelves and destroyedand of course they should not be eaten. It is actually remembered that “E.Coli bacteria can cause, in the week following the consumption of contaminated products, sometimes bloody diarrheaof the abdominal pain and vomitingwhether or not accompanied by fever“. In some cases, severe kidney complications can occur, especially in children. On the other hand, “There is no need to worry and consult a doctor” if you do not notice any symptoms within 10 days of consuming these Charal brand minced steaks.
