  • Numerous cameo appearances are expected in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, including the X-Men.
  • While Professor X’s return is all but certain, fans are wondering if Wolverine will return as well.
  • The trailer for “Doctor Strange 2” has already provided a clue as to how Hugh Jackman could complete a perfect cameo.

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is awaited with tremendous anticipation, and fans can look forward to numerous cameo appearances from the massive Marvel Universe. Are the expectations perhaps too high? Who knows, but the return of Sir Patrick Stewart (“Star Trek: Picard”) as Professor X seems to be a done deal.

Of course, fans ask themselves whether the most famous of all X-Men will also appear alongside Professor X: Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. At least the odds are better than any Marvel film to date, and Jackman has always said he’d like to appear in a crossover with the Avengers.

However, Jackman’s Wolverine received a wonderful ending in “Logan”. A return could undermine the film’s emotional impact should Jackman suddenly return as a lively Wolverine. We remember: Logan alias Wolverine died.

But fans have noticed a detail in the Doctor Strange 2 trailer that sets up the perfect return for Jackman’s Wolverine. In fact, in a fraction of a scene, we see an animated universe. This occurs as Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) travel through different universes.

The animated universe, which is one of many in the vastness of the multiverse, is strongly reminiscent of the animation style of the “X-Men” series from 1997, which is to receive a reboot on Disney+ in 2023. Will Doctor Strange Visit The X-Men Animated Universe?

If so, this would be an elegant solution to bringing Jackman back as Wolverine without undermining his departure in Logan. The Hollywood star could lend his voice to an animated version of Wolverine. So we would have the eagerly awaited Jackman appearance and still something new!

In addition, a dubbed appearance also provides an opportunity to better keep the cameo a secret. Anyone who knows Marvel knows that the level of secrecy in the films is immensely high. Marvel boss Kevin Feige ensures that only the information that is supposed to be made public is made public.

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” will start in German cinemas on May 4, 2022. Until then, you can still watch “Moon Knight” in the Disney+ New Releases program. The finale of the series will be released on the same day that “Doctor Strange 2” opens in cinemas. We also list all other new Marvel releases!
