The fundamental mechanics of critical hits are affected by the major overhaul coming to DOFUS Touch. In the same direction as its big brother DOFUS PC, it will soon be possible to get rid of randomness during battles.
Removed obtaining through agility
On current builds, there are only two ways to increase your critical hit chance. The characteristic itself is present on certain equipment such as the turquoise Dofus and via obtaining agility.
In addition, these critical hits are within a fixed maximum limit of a one in two chance, i.e. 50% regardless of the character’s equipment.
These values will all be replaced by a new system in the next DOFUS Touch update. On the other hand, there will be no noticeable difference in equipment : a bonus of X to Critical Hits becomes a bonus of X% to Critical Hits.
New system, critical hit percentages
In order to make their calculations simpler, the critical hit characteristic is transformed into a percentage which will automatically give 1% additional chance to cause damage on all spells and melee.
However, an additional factor is still under discussion among the DOFUS Touch teams. This proposal would provide 1% extra critical hit every 50 acquired wisdom points.
To conclude, spells and melee will therefore be revised to suit this new system according to the following basis:

Significant new effect for the turquoise Dofus
At the heart of the mechanics, the turquoise Dofus also sees its effects modified and not the least. His new bonus will be identical to the previous ones, i.e. a bonus of 11 to 20% increase in critical hits.
And although it looks identical, this new bonus is extremely powerful. For example during the overhaul of similar critical hits on the DOFUS PC version, the Dofus bonus is 10% maximum.
