A dog was the trigger that caused two women to be knocked to the ground and injured by a cow on Thursday evening.
The incident happened on a farm in Villach Land. The 51-year-old farmer was in the process of loading a cow and calf onto a tractor trailer. There was also a 61-year-old from Germany with her dog at the farm. The four-legged friend made the cow become aggressive, broke free and came towards the dog. The women tried to protect the dog and catch the cow again. The two friends failed. They were knocked to the ground and injured by the mother animal, but were able to call the rescue themselves. You had to be taken to the LKH Villach after emergency medical assistance.
