Just a month after the launch, ex-US President Donald Trump appears to have deactivated his short message blog again.

That was fast! After just under a month, Donald Trump (74) seems to have given up on the project of his blog “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump”. Because where just a few days ago short messages reminiscent of Twitter on the homepage of the ex-US president were to be read, there is now a yawning emptiness.

On May 5 of this year, Trump published his own news platform on Facebook and Twitter after being kicked out. Similar to the short message service Twitter, the entrepreneur regularly gave short updates there about himself and his projects. But that’s over now, like Trump’s spokesman Jason Miller confirmed on Twitter.

Return to another social medium?

A FOX News reporter previously tweeted that the former president’s blog has been removed and will not be returning, which Miller confirmed. When asked if this was a harbinger that he would soon join another social medium, the Trump spokesman replied, “Yes, it actually is. Stay tuned.” So far, however, he has not commented more precisely.

Donald Trump was banned from Twitter and Facebook earlier this year. Previously, with supposedly inciting news, he had contributed to the violent storming of the Capitol in Washington on January 6, 2021. Five people died in the process.
