One of the major qualities of “Don’t Look Up” is its dream cast, from Leonardo DiCaprio to Meryl Streep. But another actor, well known to all, makes a small appearance.
For his satirical sci-fi film, Don’t Look Up, Adam McKay has summoned an audience of stars. Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Mark Rylance and even Ariana Grande have answered the call.
Another big screen personality joined the party for a small appearance: Chris Evans. His name does not appear in the credits, but the interpreter of Captain America lends his features to a caricature of the Hollywood actor, named Devin Peters, for a few seconds.
In full promotion of his new film, Total Devastation – which could be the work of Michael Bay or Roland Emmerich, who knows? -, he ticks all the boxes of the action star a bit diva: eyes hidden behind sunglasses, a posture and a tone of crooning… The panoply is complete.

The actor wears a pin related to the “Don’t Look Up” movement, launched in the middle of the film. The journalist points out to him that his badge is unlike any other, since it is composed of an arrow pointing upwards and another pointing downwards.
“This country must stop tearing itself apart and teaching false moral lessons. We reconcile”, Reacts the star. “What a breath of fresh air“, the reporter enthuses without irony, despite the emptiness of her answer.
The opportunity for Adam McKay to gently mock certain celebrities with lukewarm positions, who protect themselves so as not to lose their audience and undermine their careers. Quite the opposite of Chris Evans, whose career is also marked by his political commitments.
