The modder sultim-t has released a mod for the first three episodes of Doom that enables ray tracing and thus more beautiful light and shadow effects. The technology has only been used in games for a few years, so the integration into a game from 1993 is remarkable.
You can watch the video above. It was released on April 1st, but it’s not an April Fool’s joke. The mod is even available for download on Github.
