Dreams: PS5 and PC versions would have existed, but…

After the very friendly LittleBigPlanet And Tearaway, Media Molecule released in 2020 Dreams, a game which is above all a gigantic creative tool so PS4 gamers can create the games of their dreams. Many very interesting productions are available, but Dreams did not become as popular as hoped.

I have to say that the title was released only on PlayStation 4, a few months before the launch of the PS5. If most of the games launched during this period were entitled to updates for the latest console of Sonythis was not the case for the title of Media Molecule…at least officially. Lance McDonald, hacker And dataminer well informed, asserts in fact that Media Molecule reportedly developed PlayStation 5 and PC versions of Dreams, before canceling them following a wave of layoffs last October. The PS5 port would have benefited from ray tracingwhile the PC version would have worked with keyboards and mice.

Eurogamer recalls that in 2020, he had already heard of a porting of Dreams for PlayStation 5, but Alex Evans then explained that the studio was just exploring possibilities and the hardware of the new console, without wanting to produce a real port. From, Media Molecule has stopped supporting Dreams and is focusing on its next, still unknown project.

You can find Dreams from €15.99 on Amazon, Cdiscount And there Fnac.
