Driver & policeman – rescuer: Carinthian (61) resuscitated after the accident

On the road towards the Czech Republic, a 61-year-old Carinthian had an accident with his car in Lower Austria. Subsequent drivers and a police officer performed chest compressions to save the man’s life.

A Carinthian was resuscitated on Monday after an accident on the North/Weinviertel Autobahn (A5). The 61-year-old should have left the road with his car near Poysdorf (Mistelbach district), the police reported on Tuesday by broadcast. The car stopped perpendicular to the direction of travel. Subsequent drivers and a police officer performed a cardiac massage until the rescue and emergency doctor arrived. The man was then flown to the Floridsdorf clinic in Vienna. The 61-year-old from the Wolfsberg district “is currently out of danger thanks to the courageous intervention of everyone involved,” said the executive. The cause of the accident on the road towards the Czech Republic was initially unknown.
