Driver’s license question: Most drivers act incorrectly with this sign

driver’s license question
This street sign is where most drivers misbehave

Driving license question: There are quite a lot of different signs and notices on German roads. Keeping track of things can be difficult.

The variety of signs and rules in road traffic is great. Some signs hardly differ in their appearance from others, but are fundamentally different in their meaning. One sign in particular causes confusion again and again.

Anyone who has obtained a driver’s license in East Germany knows the traffic sign of the green arrow at traffic lights right from the start. In Germany, on the other hand, it was not introduced until 1994. The arrow enables right turns at red lights with the aim of reducing long waiting times at intersections and congestion in city traffic. However, many road users still do not know how exactly they should behave at the sign.

Driving license question: What is really to do at this sign?

However, the rules of the road traffic regulations are clear with this sign. Anyone who disregards these regulations and laws must expect a fine and even a point in the central traffic register in Flensburg – and yet most drivers in Germany do it wrong in an emergency. In the video you can find out how to behave correctly at the green arrow and what the difference is to the green traffic light arrow.
