The drug addiction of a 38-year-old man could not be stopped. At full speed on the A3, he lit a joint and smoked cannabis with relish. When a civil patrol near Großhöflein overtook him, the drug driver was caught – and stopped.
The native Hungarian with German citizenship was on the journey to his old home on Wednesday afternoon. Near a construction site on the A3 near Großhöflein, he was overtaken by a civil patrol from the regional traffic department.
The officials were amazed. The man behind the wheel had a joint in his hand and was smoking cannabis with relish. When the drug driver realized he had been caught, he threw the drug out of the car. Shortly afterwards, during the course of the inspection, the officers also discovered a small amount of cannabis in the vehicle and an unknown substance in a plastic container.
Unfit to drive was determined when the medical officer took a blood sample. Furthermore, the consumption of amphetamines could be proven. The 38-year-old’s license was immediately revoked.
