On the B51 in the local area of Weiden am See, a driver who was drunk as it turned out later crashed into a vehicle driving in front of him. An eight-year-old girl was slightly injured by the force of the impact. She and her entire family had to be taken to the hospital.
On Sunday morning a 39-year-old Greek driver, his 41-year-old German partner and the four children, aged nine months, three, eight and 18 years, were on the B51 in the direction of Neusiedl am See.
At the level of Obere Hauptstrasse in Weiden am See, the family was hit by a 40-year-old car driving behind them.
With the rescue to the hospital
The eight-year-old daughter was slightly injured in the collision. The entire family had to be first taken care of by the ambulance and then taken to the Frauenkirchen accident clinic.
Driver drunk
For the duration of the mission, the B51 was only passable in one lane for around an hour.
As it later turned out, the 40-year-old driver involved in an accident was drunk on the road. He was reported.
