Dua Lipa triumphed at the Brit Awards in London. The British singer won two important awards at the ceremony.

The singer Dua Lipa (25) won two awards at the Brit Awards in London. She was recognized as the best British solo artist and for the best album (“Future Nostalgia”). 4,000 people were in the audience at the event, including 2,500 health care workers who had received tickets in recognition of their achievements during the corona pandemic. In her acceptance speech, Dua Lipa called for better pay for the people who work in the health system.

US star Taylor Swift (31) was delighted with the “Global Icon” award at the award ceremony. She called it an “incredible honor” to receive the award. Little Mix was also the first all-female band to be honored with the Best British Group Award. The rapper J Hus (24) was awarded as the best solo artist.

Michelle Obama was there too

Harry Styles (27) won the Best British Single Award for his song “Watermelon Sugar”. The former First Lady of the USA also made an appearance at the Brit Awards: Michelle Obama (57) presented an award for The Weeknd (31), who was hailed as the best international solo artist, via video message. Billie Eilish (19) won best international solo artist, the band Haim was named best international group. Dua Lipa, Coldplay, Rag’n’Bone Man (36) and Pink (41) performed at the ceremony.
