The Ducati brand is today presenting a tandem of new electric two-wheelers.

No premature joy, these are not (yet?) motorcycles, but electric bikes.

Electric bikes that fold at Ducati

The Italian manufacturer Ducati is very proud to announce today the arrival of two new Scrambler e-bikes. These are two electric bikes with an assertive style, folding and which benefit from a 48 V motor, capable of providing a torque of 60 Nm. There is also an aluminum frame, with batteries integrated into it, without forget imposing wheels equipped with hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear.

These bikes have been developed by Platum, a brand of MT Distribution, with the support of the Ducati Style Center. Remember that the Italian R&D, engineering and distribution center Platum was born in January 2022 with an ambitious vision: “ Shaping the future of urban electric mobility. »

For its part, the SCR-X model is ideal for more urban environments. It is equipped with 20-inch urban wheels, a suspension fork and an integrated rear rack that supports a load of up to 25 kg. The battery is 499 Wh and can guarantee, according to the manufacturer, a range of 80 kilometers with a full charge, at a maximum speed of 25 km/h.

An SCR-E GT model for adventure seekers

Regarding the SCR-E GT model, Ducati promises a bike designed for lovers of adventure and off-road travel. It features 20-inch all-terrain wheels, with full suspension provided by the front fork and central shock. This model is powered by a 614 Wh battery which, when fully charged, again allows it to travel, in theory, up to 80 kilometers.

Both models are also equipped with a Shimano Tourney 7-speed gearbox and a latest generation control unit. There is a waterproof LCD screen that allows you to manage the main functions such as switching on the e-bike, activating the lights and selecting between the different (and valuable) levels of assistance.

Launch planned for this month of July.
