Duchess Kate and Duchess Meghan: a tights dispute with consequences?

Two years after the dream wedding of Prince Harry (35) and the then US actress Meghan Markle (38, "Suits") in May 2018 at Windsor Castle, a violent dispute comes to light that sustains the mood in advance and subsequently should have tarnished. Duchess Kate (38) and today's Duchess Meghan are said to have argued over whether the flower girls, including Kate's daughter, Princess Charlotte (5), wear tights or not when they appear. Given the royal protocol, Kate didn't want Meghan.

A friend of Duchess Kate and husband Prince William (37), who is not named, is said to have reported the disagreement to the "Tatler" magazine. "There was an incident during the wedding rehearsal," the informant is quoted as saying. "It was a hot day and apparently there was an argument over whether the flower children should wear pantyhose or not." In the pictures from the wedding it can be seen that the children do not wear tights under the dresses. So Meghan had prevailed.

Rumors of a disharmony between the married royals have been raised ever since. However, no such incident has ever occurred in public and none has been confirmed.

Duchess Kate is said to be exhausted by Megxit

In the meantime, the two can no longer be seen together in public. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan quit their jobs as senior royals earlier this year – the so-called "Megxit" – and now live with their son Archie (1) in the USA. That is exactly what Kate is said to have been doomed to. Because she should feel "exhausted and trapped" because of her "enormous" workload after the Megxit, as the anonymous friend also revealed to the "Tatler".

In fact, during coronavirus isolation at their Note Hall country house in Norfolk, William and Kate had made numerous virtual appearances with their children Prince George (6), Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis (2).
