At the first stop of her "Christmas Express" tour, Duchess Kate drew everyone's attention with a brightly colored coat.

Prince William (38) and Duchess Kate (38) left London from Euston station on board the "Royal Train" last Sunday. The couple want to thank Corona helpers in England, Scotland and Wales on their "Christmas Express" tour by train. On Monday they made their first stop in Scotland. The Duchess of Cambridge attracted everyone's attention with a strong blue coat.

Kate wore a high-necked creation by Catherine Walker in midi length and paired it with black suede boots with heels. For her accessories, leather gloves and a small clutch, she also used black and thus completed the elegant look. The duchess let her hair fall in the middle parting in light waves over her shoulders.

Reindeer visit to school

After a first greeting on the platform of Edinburgh Waverley train station, framed by the Christmas sounds of a bagpipe, the royals first met paramedics in Newbridge, who talked about their work on the corona front. The couple later surprised schoolchildren in Berwick-upon-Tweed, England's northernmost city, with real reindeer that the children were allowed to admire in front of their school.

The Cambridges want to keep a total of nine appointments in 48 hours. They want to meet with health and care workers, volunteers, teachers, students and young people on their tour and talk to them about their "experiences, sacrifices and inspiring achievements in this challenging year," the palace explained before the trip.
