Hey, that’s new! Duchess Meghan appears on her visit to New York with a new eyebrow shape and looks completely different. How Prince Harry’s wife’s look has changed since moving to the US…

Since her engagement to Prince Harry, 37, in 2017, Duchess Meghan, 40, can hardly take a step without the outfit or beauty look being analyzed down to the smallest detail. Her voluminous hairstyle: an absolute must-have after the next visit to the hairdresser. Her nose: the template most often brought to cosmetic surgery, as plastic surgeon Stephen Greenberg once revealed to Allure magazine. Meghan’s look is becoming a role model for thousands of women. But loyal fans of the Duchess will have noticed that one of her signature looks has changed.

New eyebrow shape: Duchess Meghan with a fresh beauty look

When her husband Prince Harry spoke to the members of the UN in New York, the 40-year-old appeared as stylish in a Givenchy pencil skirt as in royal times. But the much bigger eye-catcher, and very different from royal times: her eyebrows. Instead of being plucked thin, Prince Harry’s wife is now wearing it much wider and longer.

Sian Dellar, eyebrow specialist and founder of the Sian Dellar Permanent Make-up Clinic, described the look to Hello magazine as “straighter, less arched and elongated towards the temples” – much like Audrey Hepburn used to be. “They frame her face and go well with it,” says the expert.

From old to new

However, the look is not new. Even as an actress in “Suits”, the now 40-year-old relies on eyebrows in the “Audrey Hepburn” style, as pictures from 2015 show. So back to the roots! The change is noticeable nonetheless. A coincidence of a new beauty routine as a mother of two or actually a differentiation from her look as a working member of the royal family? Only the Duchess knows that.

The changed fashion style of Duchess Meghan

And the retired Duchess has also undergone a metamorphosis in terms of fashion since she has been living in the USA. Ever since she was an actress, Meghan has been a fan of elegant, feminine fashion – during her time as a senior royal, her style remained relatively well-behaved, contrary to protocol. Plunging necklines, high leg slits, tight jeans: all of this is not very popular under royal protocol. So while we tended to see her in powder tones and tight cuts between 2017 and 2019, now the American has room to experiment.

We now find these pieces more often in her wardrobe

Ever since she finally left as a senior royal, more and more unusual prints and stronger colors have found their way into her wardrobe. Bold citrus sprint at Spotify’s “Stream On” event in February 2021? No problem anymore. It seems as if Meghan has dressed free from old conventions.

In 2022, the 40-year-old seems to be upping the ante. Meghan’s outfits have never been more confident. Her new style: A mixture of classic power dressing, on official occasions and all-American girl in private. Like her friends Michelle Obama, 58, or Oprah Winfrey, 68, she lets her clothes speak for themselves. This can be seen in the outfits from her stay in New York and the Invictus Games: straight cuts, expensive labels like Dior or Valentino and not a bit cute. And otherwise it can always be a pair of jeans.
