A British tabloid is said to have appointed a private detective on Duchess Meghan. You and Harry now respond in a statement.
Duchess Meghan (39) and Prince Harry (36) made a statement about the claims of a private detective. American detective Daniel Hanks allegedly spied on the former actress at the beginning of her relationship with the British royal. A British tabloid is said to have commissioned him to do this. He found out private information such as Meghan's social security number and acted partly illegally, as he admitted to "BBC News". He is also said to have passed on her private telephone number, addresses and information about her family members as well as her ex-husband and a former friend to the tabloid.

A spokesman for the couple said in a statement: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex feel that today is an important moment of reflection for the media industry and society at large, as this research report shows that the ruthless practices of the past are still alive always enduring. They cause irreversible damage to families and relationships. " The couple are grateful to those who work in the media and advocate "upholding the values of journalism" that are needed today more than ever.
The relationship between the couple, who have been married since 2018, and the British tabloids have been strained for some time. They have already taken legal action against several publishers and named the press in their interview with Oprah Winfrey (67) at the beginning of March as one of the main reasons for resigning as full members of the royal family.
