Duchess Meghan is apparently not planning a comeback in front of the camera for the new edition of “Suits”. Production is scheduled to begin in March.

According to the latest rumors, Duchess Meghan (42) will not appear in the planned reboot of the series “Suits”. This despite the writers supposedly having designed a “perfect role” for her. At least that’s what the Daily Mail reports.

A few weeks ago, reports emerged that a spin-off called “Suits: LA” was in the works. The original series that made Meghan Markle famous ended in 2019. There was quick speculation as to whether the current Duchess of Sussex could be part of the new offshoot.

However, the “Daily Mail” reports, citing sources who are said to have something to do with the planned series, that Prince Harry’s wife (39) has no plans to appear in the TV show. According to the insider, there is supposed to be a character in it that seems to be tailor-made for her.

Filming for the spin-off is scheduled to begin in March

Meghan played paralegal Rachel Zane in the original series, which ran from 2011 to 2019. She left the series in 2017 after her relationship with Prince Harry began. Last summer, the legal series surprisingly became the most streamed series in the USA for several weeks after it appeared on Netflix. Shortly afterwards, speculation about a reboot arose.

Variety said so, that filming on a pilot episode of “Suits: LA” is scheduled to begin in March. The series reportedly centers on the character Ted Black, a former New York prosecutor who now represents powerful clients in Los Angeles.

That’s what the Sussexes are planning

Meanwhile, Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry continue to work with Netflix. After three productions that have appeared so far and one discontinued project, according to Netflix, a total of three series and a film by the royals are currently planned, like this Industry portal “Deadline” reported.

So far, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, who have no longer worked for the British royal family since 2020, have implemented three projects for Netflix with their company Archewell Productions – the docuseries “Harry & Meghan”, “Heart of Invictus” and “Live to Lead”. “Harry & Meghan” in particular caused a stir and debuted at the end of 2022 as the streaming service’s most-watched documentary format ever in a launch week. Working on a planned animated series titled “Pearl” are now scheduled to be discontinued in 2022 have been.
