Dune: Spice Wars, Imperial House Corrino faction added with update

The editor Funcom and the developer Shiro Games launched last April Dune: Spice Wars, a strategy and management game 4X available on PC in Early Access. The title has already had several patches to improve the experience and even a major update adding multiplayer, but it’s obviously far from over.

This week, the studios unveil a big new update for Dune: Spice Wars, adding the faction of the Imperial House Corrino. The latter leads theKnown Universe for millennia, a very specific situation that will change the habits of players, as explained Shiro Games :

The Houses on Dune are out of control, so Emperor Padishah Shaddam IV sends his dreaded Sardaukar to remind them of his rule. While he wields a great deal of power, he must also maintain certain essential relationships, notably with the Spatial Guild.

By playing House Corrino, players will experience a very different kind of economy to balance. Tip the scales in your favor by receiving spice taxes or kickbacks from other factions, while paying Space Guild fees to keep interstellar travel affordable and the empire unified .

Close to the emperor stand loyal advisers, each bringing their own advantages on the battlefield, in the politics of the Landsraad, on the production of raw materials, or otherwise.

This update will include more minor improvements and features, all this will be detailed on the occasion of the gamescom 2022 next month. You can find Dune: Spice Wars in early access to €29.99 on Gamesplanet.
