E-mountain bike for 899 euros: The e-bike bargain from Media Markt is good for that

If you are currently looking for a new e-bike, the current range from Media Markt could be of interest to you. The retailer has significantly reduced the price of a Docgreen e-mountain bike. The bike currently only costs 899 euros.

The e-mountain bike has 27.5-inch tires, a Shimano derailleur with 21 gears, and hydraulic disc brakes. The Suntour suspension fork offers a suspension travel of 100 millimeters, the rear wheel motor comes from VINKA – it provides support with 45 Newton meters. This is also sufficient in hilly regions, but a little less for very steep climbs.

Especially for the price point: the battery has a reasonable capacity of 504 watt hours and is even integrated into the frame. Normally it sits on the down tube on very cheap bikes. According to the manufacturer, the range is up to 110 kilometers. This is quite realistic, but only at the lowest support level.

All in all, the e-mountain bike offers solid equipment at a price of just 899 euros. Of course, mostly simple components are used, and the engine isn’t the strongest either. Nevertheless, the overall package is impressive, especially since bikes of the same price are often significantly worse equipped.

The bike is particularly suitable for smaller tours off the beaten track. However, it is rather unsuitable for use in difficult terrain. Here you should reach for a higher quality bike with the appropriate equipment.
