E.ON: green bond issue for 1.5 billion

(CercleFinance.com) – E.ON reports having successfully issued two bond tranches with a combined volume of 1.5 billion euros, backed by a record combined order book of 4.3 billion, to finance projects sustainability focused on the energy transition.

This issue consists of 750 million euros of green bonds maturing in March 2029, with a coupon of 3.75%, and 750 million euros of green bonds maturing in August 2033, with a coupon of 4.00%.

An attractive market environment has thus enabled E.ON to significantly prepare its financing needs for 2024, those for 2023 having already been covered by a bond issue of 1.8 billion euros in January.
