EA and Respawn are working on 3 Star Wars games, including the Jedi sequel Fallen Order

If it was still necessary to prove that Respawn Entertainment is the best thing that has happened to Electronic Arts for a very long time after Titanfall, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Apex Legends, we learn today that the studio founded by Vince Zampella is working on not one but three games stamped Star Wars.

The first was an open secret, it is obviously the successor to the delightful Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the game which, in contrast to the Anthem disaster, was able to remind the leaders of Electronic Arts of the importance of still knowing how to make traditional single-player games. Still directed by Stig Asmussen (God of War 3), the next Star Wars Jedi could be unveiled in early May for a launch at the end of the year, according to rumours, but Electronic Arts does not confirm any such thing.

An FPS and a strategy game too

The second project will be an FPS directed by Peter Hirschmann, former vice president of development at LucasArts and executive producer of the first Star Wars Battlefront games. Peter Hirschmann has worked at Respawn since 2016 and will therefore be able to speak about his experience with the franchise of George Lucas. Better to be patient on the other hand, because the development seems to have started only recently.

The latest project is a strategy game that will be primarily developed by Bit Reactor, a studio recently announced by Greg Foerstch and other Firaxis Games veterans. This ambitious new studio explained that it aims to bring new blood to the XCOM-style turn-based tactics genre. He will therefore have the opportunity to show what wood he is warming up on one of the most popular franchises in the world.
