Thirsty grizzlies swallow Red Bull again

The Adler Mannheim find their way back on track on foreign ice, while Red Bull Munich, on the other hand, threatens to lose control in the play-off semi-finals of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL): In the third duels of the series, only one of the two favorites sends a signal Strength.
The Adler Mannheim took the lead again in the playoff semifinals of the German Ice Hockey League at ERC Ingolstadt. The eight-time German champions won the third of seven possible matches against Oberbayern 2-1 (0-0, 2-1, 0-0) and are 2-1 ahead. Title favorite EHC Red Bull Munich, on the other hand, suffered a surprising 3:5 (0:0, 2:4, 1:1) home defeat against the Grizzlies and is under pressure after being down 1:2.
Mannheim remains the away power in the playoffs. In Ingolstadt, the Adler got their fifth success in a foreign hall in the fifth playoff match this season. “It’s always difficult in such an energetic hall, but we still prevail,” said Adler striker Tyler Gaudet at Magentasport. The fourth match will take place in Mannheim on Thursday (7.30 p.m. / Magentasport).
Eagles equalize the deficit after 18 seconds
Without the suspended national player David Wolf, who had uninhibitedly beaten opponent Daniel Pietta in the last duel, Matthias Plachta equalized to make it 1-1 just 18 seconds after Stefan Matteau’s 0-1 (27th minute). Jordan Szwarz scored the winning goal. The Canadian made his first appearance in this year’s playoffs after an injury break on Tuesday and made it 2-1. “It’s nice to have him back.
