Easter: brilliant decoration ideas for the last minute

Bring your home four walls to Easter glow quickly? With these creative DIY ideas for decorating it will definitely work.

Easter is just around the corner, but you still don't want the right mood? There may be a lack of suitable decoration at home. In times of the Corona crisis, it is not so easy to buy it in the nearest shop around the corner. With a little creativity, however, real decorative eye-catchers can also be conjured up on your own – unique and individual.

Easter eggs with napkin technique

Anyone can dye Easter eggs – but you rarely see eggs decorated with napkin technology. This is not a big art: all that is needed is hard-boiled or blown-out eggs, paper napkins, scissors, a brush and napkin glue. White eggs are best suited because the motifs of the napkins are clearly visible on them. The top layer of the napkin is removed and the desired motif is cut out. Brush the egg with napkin glue, let it dry briefly and place the motif in the desired position. Press gently with the brush and seal with napkin glue. If possible, always paint from the inside out. Let it dry – done!

Easter bunnies made of rice and paper

Little Easter bunnies not only look good on the windowsill, the Sunday table or in the Easter basket – they are also easy and quick to make. All it takes are balloons, rice, scissors, wrapping paper, yarn, cotton wool and glue. First, the balloon is filled with a little rice so that it takes on the size of an ordinary chicken egg. Alternatively, flour, sugar, lentils, semolina or sand can be used for this. Then tie the balloon and cover it with a rectangular wrapping paper. Knot this with the yarn above the balloon and cut the ends in the form of rabbit ears. Attach a piece of cotton wool as a rabbit tail – done!

Easter bunnies made of wire

Those who like it modern and abstract will love these Easter bunnies. Why? You don't need more than wire and wooden balls to manufacture them. Simply take a piece of wire about 50 centimeters long and bend a third of it into the shape of rabbit ears. Guide the ends – one long and one short – through the opening of a wooden ball and bend the short end so that the ball does not slip. Then bend the long end of the wire into a downward spiral – done!
