(CercleFinance.com) – According to BFM Business, the current leader of Schneider Electric, Luc Rémont should be appointed CEO of EDF. He could be appointed in duet with a non-executive president. He should be appointed quickly by the government and the President of the Republic.
The other candidates were Mariane Laigneau, the boss of Enedis and Philippe Knoche, CEO of Orano.
Two women were candidates for the position of President according to BFM Business, Laurence Parisot and Marianne Laigneau. Laurence Parisot, the former president of Medef was a director of EDF. She reportedly declined the offer. Marianne Laigneau would therefore remain the only candidate for the position of non-executive president.
