As so often, eFootball will be released a few days before FIFA. For this year 2022, we will be able to welcome the 2023 season, and not a new game, given that the license, formerly known as PES, went free-to-play at the end of August, with no further details yet. But we had the right to the first information on this new version.
Thereby, the 2023 update will feature new maps“Featured” players, selected based on their performance during the current season, and “Epic”, highlighting here former players who have performed for several seasons. Clarence Seedorf and Wesley Sneijder will be particularly concerned. New licenses will also be integrated, in particular the two Milan clubs. Of course, the database, depending on transfers and new jerseys, in particular, will be updated.
eFootball™ 2023 will feature the latest player data. However, some clubs (eg certain teams in the Dutch and French league) will not have their latest strips available in-game.
Please see the in-game announcement for more information.

Konami further states that a plethora of improvements will be made, based on feedback from the community in recent months. It must be said that the launch of eFootball, in September, was catastrophic, and that the game of football only started to go up the slope last spring, when season 1 was released. If eFootball wishes to compete FIFA 23, which will not be released until September 30, we will have to hope for a better start. Remember that the Master League mode will not be planned for this update, since it will not arrive until 2023.
The release date of the 2023 season will be shared shortly, but it is scheduled for the end of August 2022, in a few short days.
