(Boursier.com) — Ekinops is pleased to have obtained funding of 1.29 ME officially granted by the Office of the Prime Minister to support the development of its 5Geneva project in collaboration with Orange.

5Geneva is funded by the French government as part of “France 2030” and by the European Union – Next Generation EU as part of the France Relance plan.

The 5Geneva project, lasting 36 months, aims in particular to develop platforms for experimenting with 5G use cases at the Edge (periphery) of the network for business players (vertical) and telecommunications operators. . These platforms are based on physical on-site network equipment (physical CPE/pCPE), or virtualized (universal CPE/uCPE).

As part of the France Relance plan, Ekinops has already obtained €3.6 million in funding in the form of a grant from the French State to support the development of its NGOpt project dedicated to new generations of high-speed optical transport equipment. debit.

“With this financing, we will continue to implement large-scale innovative projects around 5G and Edge Computing more quickly.
