Elden Ring: Find out what a “pacifist” run looks like

Elden Ring players around the world keep surprising us by exploiting absolutely every possibility that the Underworld offers in order to finish the game. Previously, we covered an impressive no-hit and no-damage run, made by Youtuber Seki. The player has therefore finished the game without taking any damage, including that of falling or poisoning. But if we reversed the trend and wanted to make a run without inflicting any damage, would that be possible? Absoutely, and many have already done so!

The pacifist run

As the name suggests, this is about successfully completing Elden Ring without inflicting any direct damage, ie: no attack with sword, fist or anything that touches the enemy . However, it is possible (and even advisable) to call upon invocations like the famous mimic or other entities that you can command to defeat your opponents… for you. That’s what he did Iron Pineapplewhich ended the game in no-hit of enemies.

It is possible to notice it in the video detailing his run. The Youtuber used all the techniques to succeed in his challenge. First, he chose the Prophet class, which makes it easier for him to level up his faith stats, making it easier for him to summon various creatures. He then uses his ghostly allies, which he heals while they attack his enemies.

Another technique used to defeat opponents, gravity simply. Sometimes, all it takes is tricking certain mobs into getting closer to the void in order to knock them down. As Iron Pineapple so aptly puts it: “I don’t kill them, it’s gravity that kills them”.

The “pacifist” run… the French way!

A French streamer by the name of Events also made this famous pacifist run. Just like the American Youtubeur, he used mimicry and many other invocations to finally overcome the Beast of Elden.

Patience…

For any “pacifist” run, the key is patience. You have to be ready to wait for hours, to watch your summons being destroyed by the bosses, all in the name of peace. As Eventis specifies, the final try on the end boss lasted 24min55, while some annihilate them in less than a minute. This doesn’t take into account all the tries against the Beast of Elden in which the streamer’s mimic got destroyed… and so did he.

In the case of Iron Pineapple, he sometimes had to exploit glitches present in game in order to circumvent certain bosses which did not make his task easier, such as the Fire Giant for example, who, despite the player’s relentless attempts, did not didn’t want to fall into the void.

The Fire Giant in Elden Ring

In previous FromSoftware games, such a run would have been impossible because summons only exist in Elden Ring. A rather new feature that allowed players to exploit it for this run that we call “pacifist”.

In all cases, these are two remarkable performances, just like the others. It is very difficult not to be touched, but it is also difficult not to be touched. A great lesson in peace within the hostile Entre-terre!

While FromSoftware’s iconic Elden Ring was released just over a month ago, a writer by the name of Brandon Sanderson said he was intimately connected to the company. Would a new game be on the program?
