  • The canton of Zug has re-elected its 80-member parliament.
  • Although the center loses two seats, it remains the strongest force in the cantonal council with 19 seats.
  • The SVP and FDP each get 18 seats – so the middle-class factions continue to hold the majority.

In the Zug cantonal council, the balance of power remains largely intact. The FDP has won a seat, the alternative – the Greens can keep their 11 mandates. The SP loses one seat with 8 mandates, the GLP with 6 seats gains two seats.

A total of 316 candidates ran – 49 more than in 2018.
