Electric air pumps: Handy battery models for bicycles and cars

When it comes to an air pressure compressor, many people probably first think of the huge devices that you occasionally find at the gas station – but the battery air pumps presented here don’t have much in common with them. Because the electric air pumps are only about the size of a power bank. However, one should not underestimate the models, because according to the manufacturer, up to about 10 bar (approx. 145 psi) can be used here, despite their small size. One of the best-known devices in the super compact class is probably the Xiaomi Mi Portable Air Compressor, which is also quite cheap at around 40 euros (view at Amazon).

However, you shouldn’t expect too much from these small air pumps: One battery charge is enough for a maximum of one flat car tire (depending on the tire) or around eight bicycle tires. In general, however, this should be more than sufficient.
