This native of Rouen is passionate about journalism from the age of 14. If she obtains a Scientific Baccalaureate, the young Élise will discover the world of radio during a trip to Canada. Upon her return, she will obtain an internship at Radio France Caen, where she will begin to hone her skills. It was at the age of 20 that the budding journalist took her first steps on television, within the regional channel. Gradually, collaborations will follow: Sygma TV, France Inter or Antenne 2 with the show La Marche du siècle. In 1990, she joined France 3 and presented 19-20.

At the same time, she presented Pieces à Conviction on France 3. Then, Élise Lucet was entrusted with political broadcasts. She will then animate election evenings in duo with David Pujadas. It was in April 2012 that she took over as head of Cash Investigation.

On the private side, the journalist was in a relationship with Jean-Marie Cavada for ten long years. Then in 2006, she married the antique dealer Martin Bourgeois. A year later, she gave birth to her daughter, Rose, born in February 2007. Unfortunately, the journalist was hit by a real tragedy: her husband died in March 2011, at the age of 43, killed by leukemia. Elise Lucet is still the head of Cash Investigation.
