Johnny Depp allegedly gave her drugs before sex

The unsealed documents surrounding Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s lawsuit reveal more details about Ellen Barkin’s liaison.
The 6,000 pages of unsealed court documents relating to the legal dispute between Johnny Depp (59) and Amber Heard (36) reveal numerous juicy details that were not discussed at trial. In a pre-recorded video post, Ellen Barkin (68), an ex-girlfriend of Depp, testified about her relationship with the actor in May. However, not everything was shown in court: the unsealed preliminary hearing documents now contain further statements by Barkin that cast a bad light on the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star. The actress accuses Johnny Depp of giving Barkin drugs during the first sex. Literally, she said he gave her “Quaaludes” and asked her if she wanted to have sex with him. Quaaludes is another term for the drug methaqualone, which is used as an intoxicant. Depp’s legal team asked the court to exclude certain evidence, including Barkin’s testimony, ahead of the defamation trial.

Even without this statement, Johnny Depp did not get away well in the process with Ellen Barkin. The actress began dating Depp in 1998 while filming the cult film Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The actor was constantly drunk at the time, she told the court. The two saw each other about four times a week and he was often under the influence of drugs.
He mainly consumed red wine, marijuana, cocaine and hallucinogens. “He was always drinking and smoking joints!” Barkin said. Depp did not become violent. But he was a jealous man who always wanted to control everything, she claimed. “Where are you going? Who are you meeting? What are you doing?” Depp constantly wanted to know from her. Once he threw a bottle of wine through a hotel room in anger. But they didn’t meet anyone.
In early June, Depp won the defamation lawsuit against Heard after around six weeks of the trial. He sued her for $50 million for an article she published in the Washington Post in 2018. In it, she claimed to be a victim of domestic violence. She did not mention her ex-husband by name. Depp said the post still ruined his career, damaged his reputation and cost him a lot of money. Heard then filed a $100 million counterclaim against her ex.
Amber Heard was sentenced to pay more than $10 million in damages. Johnny Depp has to pay her two million. The remaining 8.35 million was capped at five million by local law. Amber Heard and her legal team have appealed the verdict.
