Actor Elliot Page is delighted with the new photo for his passport. He proudly presents it to his fans on Instagram.
For actor Elliot Page (35) it is probably another milestone since coming out as transgender. The 35-year-old had a new photo taken for his passport and proudly shares it with his around six million followers on Instagram.
To the portrait photo, which shows the actor in a simple black T-shirt and with a silver chain around his neck, he writes: “I never thought I would love a passport photo.” The fans of “The Umbrella Academy” star seem to feel the same way. There are already over a million likes for the photo.
“That’s a passport photo?! Sir, it’s illegal to look that good!” A fan summarized it in a comment. But some colleagues also congratulate Page on the successful picture. “A beautiful photo for even more beautiful trips,” said “The Handmaid’s Tale” director Reed Morano (45). Fellow actress Rumer Willis (33) commented on the picture with flame emojis and a smiley with heart eyes.
Elliot Page is open about his transition
Page revealed more than a year ago that he is trans. In a statement The Oscar-nominated actor explained in 2020: “I can’t even express how extraordinary it feels to finally love myself for who I am and to strive for my authentic self.” The trans community has inspired him endlessly, Page said.
Since coming out, Page has used his fame to help young transgender people and spread awareness about the issue. In interviews with Oprah Winfrey (68) or “Vanity Fair” he lets the world participate in his personal journey, his biography “Pageboy” is to be published in 2023.
