The reason is a new clause in Netflix’s corporate culture policy. For the first time, there is now a section on “artistic expression”, which some employees may not like.
At its core, Netflix makes it clear that personal political views are not a prioritywhen it comes to working on series and films. Instead of “censoring specific artists or voices,” it’s only intended for viewers to decide what is “appropriate” for them. This also means that employees sometimes have to work on content that contradicts their own ideas or that, according to Netflix, they “deem harmful”.
