Elon Musk presented “Saturday Night Live” on Saturday. In the opening monologue, Musk emphasized that he was the first host with Asperger’s Syndrome.

Tesla boss and SpaceX founder Elon Musk (49) celebrated a special premiere on Saturday evening (May 8th): The entrepreneur presented the US show “Saturday Night Live” for the first time as host. In his opening monologue he went into some of his character traits. For one thing, Musk joked about his monotonous speech that made it difficult for others to see what he meant: “It’s great to do ‘Saturday Night Live’ – I’m really serious.”

On the other hand, the Tesla boss said he was the first person with Asperger’s Syndrome on the show. After applause from the audience, he added: “Or at least the first to admit that”. He did not elaborate on his comment on the form of autism. Afterward, Musk spoke about some of his tweets that he believed had been misunderstood. “This is how my brain works. I would like to say to everyone who is offended: I have reinvented electric cars and are shooting people in rockets to Mars. Did you really think I was a chilled, normal guy?” Musk went on to talk about how he believes in a “future of renewable energies” and that humanity can be multi-planetary.

Elon Musk brings his mother on stage

If anyone wondered what they were like as a child, they can assure you that they were just like they are today, only smaller, explains Musk. To elaborate on the description, the entrepreneur brought his mother Maye Musk (73) onto the stage, who tells how Musk worked on a video game about a spacecraft when he was twelve. At the end there was a heartfelt mother-son hug and loving words for one another. Maye Musk also gave her son to understand: “I can’t wait to get my Mother’s Day present. I hope it’s not Dogecoin.” The crypto currency had gained notoriety through Musk. However, the price has now fallen again.
