(Reuters) – Elon Musk announced on Tuesday that he would step down as CEO of Twitter when he finds a replacement.
“I would step down as CEO as soon as I find someone dumb enough to take over my job! Then I’ll just run the software and server teams,” he wrote. in a tweet.
This is the first time that Elon Musk has mentioned a possible resignation since a majority of Twitter users voted in favor of his departure in a poll launched on Sunday by the boss of Tesla.
The billionaire admitted he was very busy and said he would be looking for a new CEO for Twitter. However, he explained on Sunday that there was no candidate for his succession and that “no one (wanted) the position that (could) keep Twitter alive”.
