Elton John supported his beloved football club Watford FC at the stadium. The singer stayed true to his fashion style.

Elton John (74) kept his fingers crossed for his favorite club, Watford FC, this Saturday (May 8) from the stands. He sat down in a striped suit and red tie on Vicarage Road in Watford. Together with husband David Furnish (58) and sons Zachary (born 2010) and Elijah (2013), the “Hornets” supporter was able to look forward to a 2-0 win for his team against Swansea City. The singer has a very special relationship with the club and the city northwest of London.

The music icon, who grew up in Watford, was president of the association from 1976. With the purchase of what was then the fourth division club, Elton John heralded many years of promotion and relegation. In 1990 he sold the club, but initially remained president. In 1997 he even bought the club back, and today he still holds shares in Watford FC. In 2014, the club finally erected a memorial to the singer by naming a grandstand on Vicarage Road after him.
