“Emily in Paris” actress Ashley Park recently revealed on social media that she has been going through a difficult time in recent months: She suffered “critical septic shock.” Now the actress is giving an update about her health.

The 32-year-old contacted her fans on Instagram on Sunday, January 28, 2024, with a detailed update. She is deeply moved and grateful for the numerous messages that have reached her during this time. “I’m sorry for the delay in responses, I just wanted to say that I have been medically cleared to fly after the treatments have worked and that I am now recovering and resting in Paris, where I will be surrounded by my loved ones and my Emily in Paris family were so incredibly warmly welcomed,” Ashley Park can happily report.
She is currently still waiting for her doctor’s permission to return to the set of the popular Netflix series, but her anticipation of filming seems to be huge. “I couldn’t be more excited to be on set for Season 4. I promise to breathe and take the best care of myself to get back into fighting shape. In the meantime, thanks for the couch cuddles @lilyjcollins “, she writes about a series of photos in which she can be seen, among other things, in a warm embrace with her work colleague and friend Lily Collins, 34.
Ashley Park suffered ‘critical septic shock’
Around ten days earlier, Park had contacted her fans with disturbing news. “As I sit here recovering from the first few weeks of 2024, only one word comes to mind: gratitude. During my vacation in December through New Year’s, tonsillitis progressed into critical septic shock, infecting and affecting several of my organs. “I am grateful that my health has improved contrary to initial claims,” she wrote alongside several photos of her in the hospital. In the first picture, Forman gives the “Beef” actress a kiss on the forehead.

She then addressed the actor and emphasized that she was most “grateful” for him. He stood by her “unconditionally throughout all this time.” This was followed by a moving declaration of love: “You calmed my fears and carried me through ambulances, three foreign hospitals, a week in intensive care, frightening emergency rooms, countless scans, tests and injections, unbearable pain and so much confusion, all while alone on one another End of the world, far from those we know. I love you, Paul. More than I can ever say.” Park also thanked the intensive care unit staff “who worked tirelessly.”
“I was hesitant to share what happened because I’m still in recovery… but I know now that I’m through the worst of it,” she finally wrote. Lily Collins commented on the emotional post, “I can barely look at these pictures without crying. I love you sister and I’m forever grateful for you on the other side and for @peforman for yours incredibly big heart and for being there every step of the way. I can’t wait to hug you both.” The two friends were finally able to make up for it.
