For his fourth address to the French, from the Elysée Palace, Sunday June 14, 2020, Emmanuel Macron announced a streamlining of the health protocol linked to the coronavirus crisis. His speech was eagerly awaited more than a month after the start of the deconfinement.   • The whole of French territory goes green

From Monday 15 June 2020, the whole territory will go green, with the exception of Mayotte and Guyana "where the virus is still actively circulating there". So that means that all bars and restaurants will be able to open their rooms in addition to their terraces to welcome customers.

  • Compulsory school from June 22, 2020

The second big announcement by Emmanuel Macron concerns education. "As of tomorrow in Hexagon as in Overseas, nurseries, schools, colleges will have to prepare to welcome from June 22, all students on a compulsory basis and according to normal attendance rules", he said. However, high schools are not affected by this development. Since May 11, 2020 and the reopening of schools, many parents criticize the health protocol, considered too strict, which prevents a return normal at school.

  • The Ehpad will have to authorize visits again

Retirement homes and accommodation establishments for dependent elderly people (Ehpad) will also have to adapt from Monday 15 June 2020. Indeed, Birgitte Macron's husband has announced that visits will be "authorized" in all establishments from this day. So, families can no longer be refused a visit to their parents in accommodation facilities for dependent elderly people (Ehpad).

  • No tax increase

While the health crisis will lead to an unprecedented economic crisis, Emmanuel Macron tried to reassure the French by assuring them thatthere is no'tax increase to finance expenses linked to the crisis. However, he nevertheless warned that he was going to have to "work and produce more"."Economic, ecological and united reconstruction will be the key to our independence", did he declare.

  • The police men "deserve the support of the nation"

Finally, the head of state concluded his speech in rebound to the demonstrations which have taken place for a few days against police violence and racism across France. He promised "new strong decisions for equal opportunities", ensuring that "we will be intractable in the face of racism, anti-Semitism and discrimination". However, he also wanted to reassure the police who feel betrayed by the government. Police and gendarmes "deserve the support of the public authorities and the recognition of the Nation", he insisted.
