The new season 19 of Brawl Stars “Enchanted Forest” is about to be released with many new features unveiled during the Brawl Talk and mainly related to in-game rewards. An outcome that echoes the previous changes introduced in previous seasons.
Two brawlers for season 19 of Brawl Stars
This season’s encounters take place in the new Enchanted Forest area, unrelated to existing characters. Two new brawlers will be available, “Cordelius” in the battle pass and “Doug”, unlockable in the star route.
Cordelius, poison and close combat
A former gardener corrupted by the poisonous fumes of the enchanted forest, Cordelius is formidable at mid-range.
Its basic attack launches two mushrooms in a row and inflicts heavy damage. An ability that increases in danger as the distance between his enemies decreases.
A true dream for 1v1 players, his super brings him and his opponent into an “other dimension” where only the two brawlers can touch each other. Cordelius enjoys a speed and reload boost while in the dimension.
Doug, contact, hybrid and resurrection?
Douge is the second member of the trio of which Buzz is part and it is not by chance. Equally comfortable with healing or attacking, its only constraint is a very low range.
His basic attack hits in the zone like “Jacky”, however Doug heals allies and hits opponents at the same time. The amount of damage and healing varies depending on the distance between him and the affected brawlers.
As for his super, Doug throws a hot dog at him or an opponent. Similar to “Gus’s” super, if the brawler affected by the hot dog dies, they are automatically revived.
Revamped rewards, starr prizes!
Following season 16 of Brawl Stars, the community regularly calls for the return of “Brawl Boxes”. Containing random objects, they were at the heart of the questions for a potential return to season 19.
A return that will ultimately not happen, at least not in the same way. The new “Starr Prizes” system will reward players with random items every day, if they achieve 1 to 8 wins.
Among the announced rewards there are the usual rewards (gold, power points etc) but also skins, gadgets and even brawlers.
A price to pay to be launched, for a normally good result
In order to keep consistency on the number of rewards granted to players. The rewards obtained during the club league, at the end of Brawl pass and during the starr cup seasons will be removed or greatly reduced.
According to the developers of Brawl Stars, this negative-looking update promises “20% more rewards” for active players.
Season 19 Brawl Talk changes
A little lighter than usual, this update still brings some skin improvements and the return of some iconic game modes.
New quest options
Quests that relate to a specific brawler become simpler.
It will now be possible to have up to 3 brawlers involved in the same quest. These quests don’t seem to completely replace quests that only concern one.
3 Return Game Modes
Following community feedback, the following modes are back: “Wipeout”, “Takedown” and “Payload”.
payload : Escort a convoy from point A to point B to achieve victory.
Wipeout : Battle royal that ends when one of the players wins X number of KOs
Takedown: Collect bolts to summon a robot and devastate the enemy area to prevail.
New skins and redesigns
As usual, many skins are coming along with the update.
The family of 5 skins of the season is called “Enchanted Forest” and the second large family of “Pirates” is growing with 4 new skins.
The Legendary “Crow Phoenix” skin gets a total overhaul of its animations and in-game appearance.
This brawl Talk ends with the sad news of the departure of Paula, community manager dedicated to Brawl Stars, much appreciated by the community.
A departure may not be final in time. Indeed, Paula leaves to devote herself entirely to “Squad Buster”, the new game in preparation for Supercell.
