Engelbert Humperdinck hopes for a miracle. The musician is concerned about his wife Patricia, who has Alzheimer's and Covid-19.

Engelbert Humperdinck (84, "Release Me") addressed all of his fans with a touching video message. The British musician is very concerned about his sick wife Patricia Healey (85). Not only is Alzheimer's disease diagnosed many years ago troubling the former actress, Covid-19 also "hit her hard". Healey neither eats nor drink them. Due to the Covid disease, it is also "quite impossible", reports Humperdinck, to consult medical experts.

"Our hearts break and we need a miracle for my beloved woman," says the artist, who is also drawn, on Instagram. At the moment he could not afford the time to sound like a "pillar of strength" or to convey such an image. The 84-year-old is aware "that so many are not able to be with their loved ones during this pandemic". He is all the more grateful "that I can be with my wife during this time and thank God every day".

Angels are supposed to put their hands on Healey

Humperdinck's pleading plea to his fans: "Please take a moment and speak in faith for my Popea." The musician hoped that God would "send the right message" and "angels and people" who would lay their hands on his beloved wife.

Humperdinck and Healey have been married since 1964 and have four children. In 2017, the Briton first spoke publicly about his wife's Alzheimer's disease. At the time, he said Healey had been struggling with it for about ten years. In January 2021, the musician then made public that the couple had been infected with the corona virus. He wrote on Twitter: "After almost a year full of caution and care, Covid caught up with us and found a way into our house."
